  1. Auxiliary turns on only once never restarts, blows heat but will never reach thermostat setting. Shuts off around 68. New therm, no airflow restrictions… any ideas?

  2. this was a KILLER troubleshooting guide. i am stoked to try it out today. our downstairs heat just doesnt come on, always in AUX mode.. (and no fan starts up i think..) but the upstairs heat which is separate works fine.

  3. My contactor clicks when turned on and the blower runs normal as always but still no heat….could it be a thermal fuse…??? Been cold a month id sure apreciate any info, ty in advance….

  4. the tiny current that a multi meter uses to test resistance is what causes readings to fluctuate while ohm testing. the very small current will interact with capacitors and inductors. this is why Nmore said to try and isolate (disconnect) whatever you are ohm testing from the circuit for an accurate reading. if you've ever conducted a resistance (ohm) test and the reading fluctuates, the current from your multimeter is flowing through a capacitor, copper windings, inductors, etc. AWESOME VIDEO!

  5. You have a real talent for teaching. I have never watched a video of something so technical being broken down and made as simple as you did. This is going to help me troubleshoot my no heat problem. Thank you so much!

  6. When you say "turn the power off", you mean power at the circuit-breaker? not just turning off the heater at the thermostat control panel?

  7. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us. It’s the best hvac video I’ve seen. Was searching through the tutorials saw this one and was a wise decision. Also I just happen to be a long time subscriber. Thanks again for your time and energy you put into this educational video. Gonna help a lot of people out.
