I wonder if the police came 'cos they heard gunfire?
You guys should do a video on how to install German-style windows.
Beautiful! Very avant-garde & contemporary just how I like!
Everyone needs a Tom
Does he ever finish a project from start to finish. Tom said your window is done and all you have to do is put trim and finish covering the bottom

That color in the bedroom is for his girl and he replace the door for a window for some reasons
Not many instances where I would think: "I should replace this DOOR with this WINDOW." But, that's what the homeowner wants, so… [if he just wanted to enjoy the view, or let in some light, he could have installed a door with a single large clear glass panel–then, he could see outside, and still have a door. Oh well…]
Finish the process
Is necesary finito, plis

Why the hell would this guy not just replace it with a new door? I would rather have an extra exit in case of fire…
CAN I OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREWS AROUND THE PLASTIC FRAME ? Is snug good enough ?
This video was exactly what I needed. Was about to replace an exterior insulated door and instead i now have it looking great due to this video, and I'm not very handy. My door ended up being double pane and rattles a bit, I wonder if I should've put caulk on each side of the grille and then let each window sit and solidify to the grille for 4 hours or so before attaching it to the door. Maybe next time.
I was going to replace my door instead of buying a new door grid frame. The bottom grid was broke out on both sides. One day walking through Menards wood trim section I found some trim that looked like the grid. With trimming the old door grid section I was able to fix it using 2 sided tape. It came out good.
Excellent video
I pulled my cover off to install window film for glare and UV protection. I noticed there is nothing between the edge of the glass for any type of insulation. So it's basically two layers of thin plastic to keep the warm air in during the winter?? Is there anything a person can put in there to help?
I have a patterned frosted window covering that i want to install under the grid. Will that work or will it be too thick to reattach the frame?
Great video, is it possible to add hole in the glass to make ventilation? the heat in my garage is unbearable!
Has anyone seen Dako doors and windows? I bought them a few weeks ago, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for good design and quality.
This was perfect. I ended up getting the window/framing combination from Home Depot. I'm glad I did. The insulation around the window was much better than what I took out and it came with a bead of semi-sticky stuff around the edge for the outside, so I didn't need to use silicone caulking – although I put a thin layer on anyway.
where can i get the door kit?? I have an odd door glass size. 24-7/8 X 48-7/8.
Rarely do you find a video EXACTLY what problem you are working on, but even a blind squarely finds a nut every once in a while! Thanks for the video! Now to fixing the door.
I have a window in my back door but I was hoping to take the window out and change it for a window with blinds built in. Does that sound like something that is doable?
Is there somewhere I can find the replacement screws? I have a few that were rusted and broken?
I have checked all my local hardware stores, and big box places. Would you have any suggestions?
Those plastic window frames always look like shit. You will see those plugs every time you look out it.
Thank you just the information I needed
Great job!! Thx again
OK you just made me like home improvement. Thanks
Would it be possible to remove the window and create a solid door instead?
I love and hate these mullions, I like them because they look nice and I can hang small wreaths on the for holidays.
I hate them because they're difficult to clean and the issue you fixed in your video. And that they yellow over time..
Thanks for the how to.
Great video. Have two doors I need to remove glass on, clean up oozing caulk on plastic and then paint doors and plastic piece
I just replaced my window. In my case I hated looking through those plastic bars. There were no instructions. I'm a 60 year old woman. And I couldn't pop out the door. I found a way to pin the frame at the top so the alignment was ok. By the way, neither frame was attached to the glass. And I don't have any caulking. So I am worried about that. I had looked and looked and looked online for info about howto install these damn windows. I only saw yours the next day. (It did occur to me too that it would be easier with the door off the frame. Again, I'm 60 years old and yes a woman. I just don't have big muscles… and my helper was a skinny teen.
