  1. So much wrong with this install. Obviously a licensed plumber did not install this water heater. Back fall on the T and P valve…no sediment trap on the gas line… nor is the gas valve accessible. Vent to close to the sheet rock… vent to close to the hot water line!!! I would not use this video to install your water heater!!!! If you do… good luck…. Sorry… this is what I do for a living and this person don’t!!!

  2. Ran into a snafu . The new heater is a bit taller by two inches. The exhaust stack don't match. Darn . Outdoor closet. And it's not straight up but has a 90 elbow near top

  3. I had a plumber did this work for my water heater yesterday, and took out the leaking old water heater, the thing that I don't understand is there were a lot of rusty water came out of the faucet when the new water heater was ready to use, the plumber said it was from the old water heater, I did not see the rusty water came out of the faucet with the old leaking water heater before, actually the leaking water in the pan was clear. Can you explain to me why there was rusty color dirty water came out of the faucet for about 5 minutes when it first turned on? Thank you.

  4. I don’t get how turning off the outside flow of water will change anything versus the in house main flow of water

  5. I just bought that same boiler and the water takes forever to heat up? How can I fix this? Should I increase the temperature?

  6. Help
We have a new 40 gal Rheem water heater that came with a 2”X 11” white strip of what looks like insulation and we don’t know where it goes. Doesn’t say anywhere-

  7. I installed a brand new Boiler exactly like this one, problem I have is that .. every night all the water gets release from the water release valve.. how can i get it fixed?

  8. Overall great video well done! Constructive criticism: Attaching the gas line details were omitted, the flex pie attached to the pressure relief valve and redirected into the HWH some how? Omitted. Also there was some small inconvenience you encountered while lifting the unit, requiring you to take it down and refit something, perhaps the back up drain pan?
Thanks for the good info! I took notes.

  9. I just installed this same heater, but mine is electric. I did all the steps, then my tank started leaking from the top seam of the heater. Not any leaks on my pipe connections. It even filled the compartment where the wiring is. Does anyone know whats wrong

  10. Very Helpful for me you did a great job Installing a Rheem Water Heater I'm definitely gonna purchase a Rheem water heater for myself when I get my own house way later on in the future someday and I will install it myself it is cheaper to do it myself for DIY Projects rather than a Plumber coming out and install it for me cuz it will be very expensive for a plumber to come out and install it for me I like Rheem a lot you did great job and it was very helpful for me I just gotta be very careful on how to install it I just gotta make sure there are no leaks but you did a great job Installing it and it's gotta be very Helpful for me Great Job 😀

  11. Lazy way to do it. It's not difficult to sweat copper pipe…and the flex gas line..that's not even code unless going to gas dryer or stove..lazy. didn't even check for leaks with some soapy water.

  12. You're calling the water heater a hot water heater you're not a plumber stop installing them now you're doing it wrong.
    Just saying

  13. VERIFIED Less than 30 minutes to install. (not including chasing parts)
Just slow down the video speed to .5 and his voice about normalizes which means double the video time length to get the real time to do install. Amazing!

  14. Does anyone know: What's the procedure for lighting the pilot light, anymore? So, although it's gas, how does the how water sensor know how/when to turn on/off? Does the temperature thing have some sort of lifetime battery in it? Like a watch battery?

  15. More power to ya, but that install would have been so illegal in GA. That would fail a plumbing inspection everywhere. I guess that was good enough for that neighborhood, but I'm calling Jack Leg all the way. Don't do anymore plumbing, please.
